So long, farewell…

Shree- headshotDear JETAA Members and Friends,

Congratulations to Megan Miller, Mike Shu and Jessyca Wilcox.

Over the past two years that I have been one of the Country Representatives for JETAA USA, I have been humbled by the professionalism, kindness and intelligence of the JETAA population. The response to the tragedy over the last month, particularly the creation of the JETAA USA Fund has shown that we are a group that is moving toward a cohesive future, a long historic goal of the organization and I feel very lucky to have been a part of it.

I would first like to individually thank Ryan Hart. My first year as a Country Rep was marred with events that were beyond my scope and Ryan was there with leadership and mentoring to not only get us through the year, but also make me confident enough to run for CR the next year. He is an asset to this organization and we are lucky that he still stays involved.

Thanks also to Rod and Jessyca. JET alumni tend to be hard workers and leaders, but with these two, I always knew that when I got too busy in my “real life” that everything would get done, and get done well. Their work on the JETAA USA Fund, involving coordinating with CLAIR, MOFA, and the hosting chapter (JETAANY) has been phenomenal.

To all chapter officers and representatives, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with all of you. I hope that I have served you well. I am still very active in JETAA, currently serving as Executive Chair for JETAA International, so I am never too far away. Please keep in touch: [email protected]

I look forward to working with Megan and Mike (and Jessyca 🙂 ) on the International level and hope that the unity and purpose that has been forged in the last month continues both in the US and Internationally.
Best regards,

Shree Kurlekar

Chair, JETAA International

Out-going JETAA USA Country Representative
