The JET Alumni Association of Alaska is open to current and returning participants of the JET Program who reside in Alaska. The organization serves as a support network and resource for returning participants in their transition to Alaska, and also provides assistance in the recruitment and orientation for the JET Program to the Consular Office of Japan in Anchorage. Most of our events occur in and around Anchorage, although we also have alumni and small events in Fairbanks and other areas of the state. Since the inception of the JET Program, Alaska has sent approximately 176 representatives to Japan as JET participants. Many of these participants have returned to Alaska and are now JETAA Alaska members. Our ranks also include JET participants from other parts of the United States who have relocated to Alaska after their participation in JET.
