Chapters throughout the United States work with local Japanese consulates, as well as community and cultural organizations to provide departure and re-entry services for those leaving and returning from the JET Program, including but not limited to:
- JET Program recruitment
- Interviews
- Pre- and Post-departure training and orientation
- Member services such as Job fairs and networking events
- Japanese language classes
- Community, cultural and charitable activities

The best way to become involved with JETAA is to contact your local chapter. JETAA USA currently has 19 chapters across the United States.
