Reception Information

Thursday, September 18th (Dress: Casual)

For those able to arrive earlier for the optional Thursday night, we will be holding an informal dinner and networking session in the local area around the hotel and will be meeting in the lobby at 8PM.

For those arriving later in the evening, we are heading to The 5 Point Cafe, a short five-minute jaunt from the hotel. Our numbers will ebb and flow as the night goes on, so feel free to contact our contact for the receptions and casual events at 504-390-6631.

Friday, September 19th (Dress: Business)

The Consulate-General of Japan in Seattle will be kindly hosting the MOFA Reception at Consul General Masahiro Omura’s personal residence. There will be a Chartered Bus (Puget Sound Coach Lines) from the Best Western to Consul General’s residence on Queen Anne Hill on Friday evening, post-half day conference.

We are scheduled to meet in the Best Western lobby at 5:30PM. A bus will charter us to the Consul General’s residence for the reception, and we will be chartered back at 7:30PM.

Please note, that as the private residence of Consul General and for security reasons, all photography and video are restricted. Please ask official Consular and MOFA staff before taking any photos and/or video. The Consulate thanks everyone for this consideration.

There will be an optional nijikai following the reception.

Saturday, September 20th (Dress: Business)

Saturday’s reception will be hosted by CLAIR and will be held at Wasabi Bistro, located in the Belltown area.

We will be gathering to walk to Wasabi Bistro from the Hotel Lobby at 6PM. It’s about a 12-14 minute walk from the hotel to the restaurant. Please be aware with shoe choices.

As per tradition, we will have an optional, post-reception social event that will be sent to delegates with the option of pre-purchasing a ticket via brownpapertickets.com. Further information will be sent in email!

Sunday, September 21st (Dress: Casual)

National Conference will end at 11:50AM on Sunday! The Seattle National Conference Committee will be around after for those staying around for a tourist day in Seattle.
